Miles Mountain Motocross is located on a beautiful hillside along route 49 in Elkland, Pennsylvania. The original track was built in the summer of 1998 by Mike and Phil "Miles" Egleston on the thousand acre family farm as a personal practice track and was closed to the public from 1998 until 2002. In early 2003 the decision was made by Mike and Phil to open the track to the public and try to host four races by the end of the season. Little did they know just how big a task this would become for them. The track was in need of some modifications to get it ready. The layout of the track has changed a lot since the original design. The entire track had to be widened and work began on new sections. Approximately 200 loads of topsoil was hauled in by Mike to begin construction. Another "small" job was constructing all of the roads and buildings that would be needed. Over the summer, an estimated 250 loads of gravel were brought in just to build the driveway.  Approximately two miles of fence had to be built, and three new buildings were erected. "The Tower" took almost two months alone to build, it stands three stories high and is used as the registration booth and announcer's viewpoint. A new concession stand was also built. The last of the buildings was a small pump house, used to store the water pumps and a large pavillion. After grueling long hours of physical labor, paper work, meetings and many set backs, Miles Mountain Mx held its first race September 14, 2003. The 3.5 mile, all natural terrain motocross track has been continuously improving since.
In 2004 we decided to add Supercross to our schedule. After hundreds more loads of topsoil and 9 fully illuminated telephone poles were errected, we held our first "Saturday Night Under the Lights" series race. Saturday night races now pull in crowds of approximately 500 attendees. The establishment has over 12 acres of perfectly flat parking and is generally packed full by Saturday night on a race weekend.During this time better radio, speakers, and computer equipment was installed. Newer track maintenance equipment was purchased. Many new sections of the track was added and fencing when needed. In 2007 it was time for another addition which is Phils' pride and joy. A private freestyle motocross park fully equipped with six ramps, large landings, various jumps, a wall ride, and foam pit were added. This park is where the annual "Mayhem at the Mountain" show is held each year and is growing by exhibitions and attendees with every show. We have come a long way from watering the track with a water tank and tractor. Between 2007 and 2012 the motocross track has become fully irrigated by our 2.5 million gallon capacity pond which was expanded in 2009. Since the track is spread out over many acres spectating areas have been challenging. In 2012 we built a walkover bridge that can hold approximately 75 people, over a section of the track. The latest addition in 2013, another spectator area was formed out of a huge dirt mound and is currently in progress to have bleachers atop it.
Miles Mountain Motocross is a proud American Motorcycle Association sanctioned facility. It is a Western New York Motocross Association promoter, as well as, a Mason Dixon Riding Association promoter. In 2009 the track was honored to accept the WNYMA "Track of the Year", and also recognized as the 2009 "ATV Organizer of the Year". That award was presented in Las Vegas, Nevada before 700 attendees at the American Motorcycle Association Racing Championship banquet. Miles Mountain Mx was also voted 2009 "Promoter of the Year" for Western New York Off-road Association for the third consecutive year. Since the meager beginning of Miles Mountain, rider turnout has increased each and every year with 2014 being the best yet. The track has seen multiple top notch riders, ie: Ivan Tedesco, Bobby Kiniry, Jack Carpenter, the Alessi brothers, and many more local great riders.
